As the recipient of the inaugural Supplier of the Year award at the Positive Luxury Awards 2026, Fine Jewellery Manufacturing is setting a new benchmark for responsible practices within the luxury supply chain. By embedding sustainability into its core operations – from sourcing 100% recycled precious metals to advancing traceability through Digital Product Passports – the company is demonstrating how suppliers can drive meaningful impact at scale. We spoke to the team about what this recognition means, how sustainability shapes decision-making across the business, and why investing in responsible practices is creating long-term value for clients, stakeholders and the wider industry.
. . .
What inspired you to take part in the Positive Luxury Awards and what does this recognition mean to your brand and team?
We participated to benchmark our efforts against globally recognised standards that value measurable impact, transparency, and responsible sourcing. Being recognised reinforces the credibility of our approach, which is grounded in verified practices such as 100% recycled precious metals sourcing, renewable energy usage, and traceability. It also reflects the collective commitment of our teams toward responsible business practices.
How does sustainability influence your business decisions and why is taking action so important to you?
Sustainability is embedded into our decision-making by prioritising areas with the highest and most meaningful impact, such as sourcing 100% recycled precious metals and using 100% renewable electricity. These actions are integrated into core operations rather than treated as separate initiatives. Taking action is important to ensure measurable reductions in environmental impact while strengthening responsible sourcing and transparency.
Following a challenging couple of years, how have you upheld your approach to positive change and resilience?
We have maintained consistency by focusing on high-impact, operationally relevant initiatives rather than short-term measures. Continued investments in renewable energy, responsible sourcing, traceability solutions, and internal measurement systems have ensured steady progress. This approach has helped us remain resilient while continuing to deliver measurable environmental and social outcomes.
How has your sustainability journey built trust with consumers and added value for internal teams?
Trust has been strengthened through verified certifications, traceability systems such as Digital Product Passports, and transparent communication of sustainability efforts. For internal teams, structured systems, clear policies, and measurable goals have helped integrate sustainability into daily operations, creating alignment and accountability across functions.
What is possible when sustainability is treated as an investment?
Treating sustainability as an investment enables long-term value creation through improved efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and stronger stakeholder trust. It allows businesses to move beyond compliance and embed responsible practices into core operations. Over time, this approach supports resilience, credibility, and sustained positive impact across the value chain.
