Sustainability needs to be evident throughout all aspects of their business – from product/service design, supply chain, packaging and ethical practices and be evidenced in all five of the Positive Luxury assessment areas (innovation, social and environmental framework, community investment and governance).

The judges are looking for an inspirational brand that has made positive impacts in the world, but also within its own organisation, shaping and supporting a corporate culture where sustainability is embedded into the fabric of the business. They will also be looking for those brands with an inspiring vision and commitment to building on their success in the future. The winner of this award will be selected by the judging panel.

Breakthrough Brand of the Year

Co-sponsored by IWC Schaffhausen and Yoox NET-A-PORTER Group , this award recognises the intention of young brands in the luxury industry to build sustainability into their journeys from inception. The judges are looking for evidence of how brands have demonstrated their commitment to enhancing their future performance in all five of the Positive Luxury assessment areas (innovation, social and environmental framework, community investment and governance), with particular interest in those that are playing a leading role in driving innovation through the development of new products and services and/or the pioneering of sustainable business and operating models. As a breakthrough brand, the judges will be focusing on the vision, intention and road-map towards sustainability excellence. The winner of this award will be selected by the judging panel.

Positive Environmental Impact of the Year

Sponsored by Delta Global, this award recognises the brand that has in the past year demonstrated outstanding results in positive environmental impact. The judges will be looking for evidence of how brands have improved their environmental performance within their own operations, supply chain and logistical operations. From waste, water and CO2 management to biodiversity protection and alternatives to animal testing, the award will spotlight the very best in environmentally-responsible business and will pay particular attention to those brands with an inspiring vision and commitment to building on their success in the future. The winner of this award will be selected by the judging panel.

Circular Economy Pioneer of the Year

This award recognises the luxury brand that has pioneered genuine circular economy thinking while curbing waste levels and creating circular resource flows in accordance with the waste hierarchy. CSR Campaign of the Year

Sponsored by Arena Flowers ,this award recognises a retailer whose commitment to sustainability across all five of the Positive Luxury assessment areas (innovation, social and environmental framework, community investment and governance) has delivered tangible positive results. In addition to the operations of the retailer, the judges will be looking for evidence of how they use their influence and power through the selection of partners/brands and thereby drive sustainability through e.g. product offerings, staff training, education and engagement, marketing collateral, logistics, providence information, packaging and e-commerce.

Lifetime Achievement Award


With this award, the judges will be looking to commend an inspiring leader who has, over the course of their career, demonstrated not just their deep personal and professional commitment to sustainability by driving change within their own organisations, but who, through their enduring advocacy, has been instrumental in driving positive environmental and social change on a global scale. There is no application fee for this award.
