REAL CHANGE IN ACTION

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

London & Avalon is a brand built with traditional British and European craftsmanship at the core of its sourcing and production, utilising GOTS certified organic cotton, GRS and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified materials, and FSC certified paper products. Beyond the luxurious look and feel, the brand’s use of high-quality linens and other natural materials ensures that products are created with longevity in mind. London & Avalon's thorough sustainable sourcing strategy covers organisational governance, human rights, labour practices, the environment, and consumer issues. Additionally, London & Avalon have source-reduced its products as part of its greater sustainability targets.

CLIMATE

London & Avalon has undertaken a carbon assessment and annually monitor and record greenhouse gas emissions. The brand is in the process of enacting a strategy to become net zero by 2040 and has established scope and objectives on how to execute this, as it is tracking and reporting on carbon emissions. Additionally, London & Avalon conducted an analysis of its value chain in 2022, including suppliers, services, and materials, to identify material risk contributions of greenhouse gases. As a part of this process, the brand collaborates with suppliers to collect emissions data to report on its greenhouse gas emissions.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

As part of circular economy principles regenerative design and natural capital, London & Avalon source natural, organic, and biodegradable materials which can be broken down and re-used, and between 75-99% of its products are 100% recyclable. The brand is in the process of implementing an upcycling project which turns the scraps from prototypes and product samples into pyjamas and night shirts.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER
Luxury should be positive and uplifting. As sustainability is no longer a choice, positive change starts with each of us, but brands need to lead by example. We need to remember that if we take from nature sparingly, she will give back bountifully. We hope that you will share our beautiful journey towards a nature positive world.
