The company is committed to sustainability at both a production and product level. Using local suppliers, they manufacture each piece in their own studio keeping shipping to a minimum. They design using chrome-free and vegetable dyes across their range and all leather used is supplied by Leather Working Group certified tanneries – while they have a zero tolerance policy to animal testing.
To reduce waste each piece is made to order and only the needed amount of material is ordered. They also work with First Mile, which looks at recycling standards and the brand have been awarded Silver for reducing their waste over the past two years by 1750kg – which saved 2230kg of CO2. Overall, they have a 58% recycling rate and aim to use more recycled materials to have 100% recyclable materials by 2020. All marketing materials are FSC-certified and the staff are trained to save energy where possible across the business.
The brand invests in their community too, supporting Place2Be which focuses on mental health and counselling for children and parents in school, accessing all age groups and continues Helen Amy Murray’s commitment to the UN Global Goals.
