As a guest, you’ll experience five-star appropriate luxury combined with an authentic relationship and immersion within Maasai culture. Not only will you enjoy a unique and pristine stretch of exclusive wilderness, tailor-made private safaris with Maasai guides/trackers, personal hosting by the founders (Luca & Antonella Belpietro) and amazing wildlife, you’ll also actively protect and help the Maasai Community by directly funding the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust through the conservation fee for each night you spend at the camp. Every visitor will be supporting Campi Ya Kanzi’s deepest mission, which is the preservation of this ecosystem and sustainable economic benefit for the local community.
Safari activities include horse-back riding, dining in a huge cave, star gazing with lectures, visiting their Trust programs, a transcendental Meditation course, a Kilimanjaro scenic flight followed by a champagne bush breakfast, an excursion to Tsavo West National Park, and more.
Campi ya Kanzi has been awarded the Five-Leaf Certification for excellence in environmental sustainability by Five-Leaf System and has been recognised for its sustainability efforts as a Global Ecosphere Retreat for its commitment to conservation, community, culture and commerce. The camp is also in partnership with Pack for a Purpose, an organisation that partners with tourist destinations to allow guests to bring supplies desperately needed by the local communities. Campi ya Kanzi has been built for and by the Maasai community with the mindset that the ultimate protection of the environment requires the consideration of wilderness, wildlife and culture, and puts this into practice throughout every aspect of the camp. While on safari at Campi ya Kanzi you will explore and discover more than 63 different mammals and 400 bird species, promising a real uncompromised safari experience!
