HUMAN RIGHTS & MODERN SLAVERY

Lola&Lykke diligently upholds human rights in its own activities as well as in the supply chain. Owing to its customer base, Lola&Lykke’s products go through rigorous testing to safeguard the health and well-being of women and children. The company also requires its suppliers to provide evidence of no slave labour in their business operations, while verifying other human rights requirements via periodic third-party audits. The monitoring is, in some cases, contractual. Both internal and external Lola&Lykke policies provide a basis for assessing how business operations may impact peoples’ rights. By tracking human rights criteria over time, Lola&Lykke can work closely with key suppliers to undertake corrective actions and, in turn, build stronger partnerships. The emphasis on due diligence underscores Lola&Lykke’s accountability when it comes to workers’ rights, its customer base, and the supply chain.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Lola&Lykke’s employee handbook consists of an extensive range of social impact policies, which inform each employee about their rights and responsibilities. Despite the small but growing size of the company, its wide-ranging policies cover a code of conduct, career advancement, diversity, equality and inclusion, occupational health and safety, and working remotely in addition to several more areas. The brand’s approach to people management reinforces the company values and the collaborative drive to enact meaningful societal change. Employees are paid above the living wage alongside a low CEO-employee compensation ratio. Prioritisation on sustainability-focused training programs is complemented by active employee feedback channels, which serve to foster a dynamic learning environment. Lola&Lykke remains committed to developing social and environmental sustainability programs based on accountability, minimising environmental impacts, and respecting the human rights of all its key stakeholders.
