BEAUTY & FRAGRANCE
DR.LIPP
Dr.Lipp was founded in 2004 by Pontine Paus with one hero product, ‘Original Nipple Balm for Dry Skin, Luscious Lips & Glossy Bits. It was the first 100% natural multi-use skincare product to launch in the UK beauty market. Since then Dr.Lipp has introduced a ‘stripped back skincare range’ which covers all your basic skincare needs in just 4 high quality products, all 100% natural with a maximum of 10 ingredients and all in 100% recyclable packaging, as well as a range of Superfood Lip Tints.
SUSTAINABILITY PURPOSE
Dr.Lipp believes in ‘stripped back skincare’ – 100% natural, fragrance free, multi-use, less than 10 ingredients per product, bio-plastic tubes and 100% recyclable packaging. Clever skincare that is better, more efficient and low in waste, to support the planet’s biodiversity.

REAL CHANGE IN ACTION

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

Dr.Lipp believes in simplicity. With no more than 10 ingredients in their high-quality, multi-use beauty products, the brand believes less is more. Their limited range of 100% natural, fragrance and phthalate-free products contributes towards the overall reduction in its carbon footprint. The brand has also implemented initiatives to use sugarcane bioplastic tubes and 65% PCR caps as part of its mission to limit and reduce waste. In line with its stripped-back ethos, the brand ensures all suppliers sign their supplier code of conduct and provide accreditations such as COSMOS/ISO16128 for ingredients.

CLIMATE

Dr.Lipp has committed to a climate emergency strategy and has outlined the specific steps it is taking to combat climate change. With an estimated carbon footprint of 23.34 mtCO2e measured in 2021, the company has since completed their baseline year submission as per the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and is tracking its annual emissions to monitor progress and inform its stakeholders going forward. Already, through their recyclable sugarcane bioplastic tubes and paper packaging, Dr.Lipp has been able to reduce its carbon footprint by 30% since 2021.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

Dr. Lipp prioritises two key areas within their business: happy, healthy humans and a happy, healthy planet. By ensuring all their multi-use products are 100% natural, Dr. Lipp is safe to use on all ages and types of skin and hair. On average, beauty products contain around 30 to 40 ingredients, whereas Dr. Lipp always has a maximum of 10 per product. The company follows a strict hazardous materials screening process to ensure all products and packaging are free from parabens, phthalates, hormone disrupters and oestrogen. Their mission ultimately is to make safer products available to all, which are free from microplastics that are causing serious harm to marine life and our planet.
