REAL CHANGE IN ACTION

CIRCULARITY

ARETÉ’s approach to circularity is grounded in practical design and measurable progress. All products are housed in refillable glass or infinitely recyclable aluminium, with secondary packaging made from biodegradable, upcycled sugar cane waste. The brand tracks packaging-related waste from suppliers annually and applies FSC-certified materials wherever available. A formal assessment of packaging design and materials has identified opportunities to reduce environmental impact, informing steps such as lowering glass thickness and increasing the proportion of recyclable and certified materials. Packaging provides clear recycling instructions and meets independent environmental standards. The brand’s strategy is guided by principles of performance, cradle-to-cradle thinking, regenerative design, and natural capitalism – anchoring continuous improvements that reduce resource use and support closed-loop production.

HEALTH, SOCIAL & WELLBEING

Health and safety are systematically managed across operations through a written policy, regular inspections, and employee engagement. Safety planning is integrated into management processes, with workers participating in audits, resource allocation, and risk reviews. Senior management addresses safety performance quarterly through formal communications and company-wide discussions. A reporting system enables employees to raise safety concerns, while inspection findings and incident analyses are documented and used to improve procedures. All on-site personnel have access to safety guidance, and inspections occur at least quarterly. In addition, the company supports employee wellbeing through flexible working options, counselling, and wellbeing programs – ensuring that both physical safety and mental health are embedded in its operational culture.

SUSTAINABILITY PURPOSE

The organisation embeds sustainability into its core governance and culture, with CSR and sustainability discussed at Board level twice annually. Strategies, objectives, and measurable targets reflect commitments to social, environmental, and economic value creation. Employees receive sustainability education and dedicated learning time, while volunteering and participation initiatives encourage shared responsibility. The company promotes fair opportunities for underrepresented groups in leadership and ensures transparent dialogue with stakeholders to align priorities and resolve differences. By integrating sustainability into decision-making, resource use, and accountability structures, the organisation balances present needs with those of future generations – demonstrating that long-term success depends on responsible stewardship of financial, natural, and human capital.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

We created ARETÉ to prove that beauty can be both exceptional and ethical. After years inside this industry, it was clear that performance, health, and sustainability should never be at odds. ARETÉ was born from a belief in conscious creation – where refined aesthetics, ethical supply chains, and high-performing formulas coexist in harmony. Sustainability isn’t a trend for us; it’s a standard. It’s how we honor the planet, protect the people who create with us, and build a sustainable future together.
