REAL CHANGE IN ACTION
SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION
AM Furniture Group embeds innovation into its core strategy to drive sustainable growth, competitiveness and ESG performance. The company’s Innovation Policy aligns with CSRD and ESRS E1–E5, ensuring that environmental and social considerations are integrated into all R&D and investment decisions. Innovation initiatives target reductions in energy consumption, GHG emissions, VOC emissions, water use and waste generation across the value chain, supported by dedicated KPIs. The company promotes certified and low‑carbon materials, modular and repairable product design, and higher recycling and recovery rates. Governance is ensured through an Innovation and Product Development Committee working with the ESG Sustainability Committee, which monitors performance and updates the policy annually.
WATER
AM Furniture Group manages water through a dedicated Water Management Policy that covers all production, cleaning, maintenance and support activities at its manufacturing site. The policy aims to ensure safe, efficient and legally compliant water use, minimise effluents and reduce environmental impacts. Core principles include protecting water resources by preventing contamination and improper discharges, improving consumption efficiency with flow‑reduction devices and efficient equipment, and promoting reuse and recirculation where feasible. The company strictly separates industrial, domestic and stormwater, sends industrial effluents to appropriate treatment, and prohibits the discharge of hazardous substances into sewers or water bodies. AM Furniture prioritises projects and technologies that reduce water use per unit of product and lower pollutant loads, supported by regular monitoring of consumption, effluent quality and performance indicators. Clear responsibilities are defined across production, quality/environment, maintenance, general services and procurement, with continuous improvement based on incidents and legal or technological changes.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
AM Furniture Group places proper people management at the heart of its social sustainability approach, treating employees as a long‑term asset rather than a resource. A detailed People Management Procedure ensures consistent, fair and non‑discriminatory practices from recruitment and onboarding through to development, appraisal and, where relevant, exit. Structured integration plans and a comprehensive onboarding handbook help new colleagues understand the company’s values, expectations, benefits and support mechanisms, reinforcing a culture of respect and inclusion. Continuous training, with systematic needs assessments and a minimum of 40 hours per worker, is tightly linked to performance evaluations, enabling transparent conversations on growth, progression and rewards. Regular satisfaction surveys and occupational health and safety consultations give employees a voice and feed directly into management decisions, while clear conduct rules, personal protective equipment requirements and occupational health services safeguard well‑being on the shop floor and in offices.
