JEWELLERY & WATCHES

MEJURI

Since 2015, Mejuri has been turning fine jewellery into an everyday luxury, inspiring our community to celebrate what matters most to them. Feeling disconnected from an industry that typically markets to men, CEO and Co-Founder Noura Sakkijha leveraged her learnings as a third-generation jeweller to redefine how we think of and purchase fine jewellery. Mejuri disrupted the traditional jewellery industry by offering high-quality, affordable pieces directly to consumers. Mejuri has expanded to become a global brand with over 600 employees – 77% of whom identify as women – 29 stores, and two million customers, including celebrity fans and tastemakers.

SUSTAINABILITY PURPOSE

For Mejuri, ‘fine jewellery’ goes beyond craftsmanship and style. They believe that the highest levels of accountability and transparency are the future of modern luxury, and the company is committed to helping to drive this meaningful change across the industry. Mejuri is on a mission to redefine sustainable luxury in the jewellery industry through continuous improvement, strong cross functional frameworks and standards, operationalised best practices, and collaboration with industry partners and their communities. To guide these efforts, Mejuri launched their 2030 Sustainability goals across four key impact areas: People, Planet, Product and Philanthropy.

A WORD FROM THE CEO

Since the beginning of Mejuri, I've been inspired and motivated by the potential to create positive change within our community and the environment. I am delighted that Mejuri is included among leading change-makers working to transform luxury for the better. Positive Luxury's Butterfly Mark is more than a recognition of what we have accomplished – it’s a signal of our commitment to growing in our sustainability journey.

BUTTERFLY MARK TESTIMONIAL

Mejuri chose to undergo the Butterfly Mark certification both to strengthen our work and to help bring consumers and partners along the journey with us. We want to continue raising the bar on what is expected from luxury, but we can’t do it alone. The certification assessment provides a rigorous framework that evaluates areas where we have strengths and where we can improve our practices. Through the network of changemakers, we will have opportunities to collaborate on shared challenges and learn from other luxury brands, even those outside the jewelry industry. The Butterfly Mark also helps consumers follow our sustainability progress, ensuring that the company’s commitments and actions are both credible and user-friendly.
