My brand is in assessment, can I communicate about the Butterfly Mark and my partnership with PL?
When under assessment, you cannot use the Butterfly Mark because you haven’t earnt it through certification yet. However, please do use the Positive Luxury logo and we also recommend that you are transparent about where you are on your sustainability journey. Talk about being under assessment as ‘the start of your sustainability journey’, and refer to the ‘under assessment’ brand guidelines for further information.
Our brand is still in assessment – but would really benefit from being featured ]on Positive Luxury’s social media. Can you help us?
We are happy to communicated that you are undergoing certification, but cannot link the Butterfly Mark logo with your brand. You are also welcome to use the Positive Luxury logo and guidelines to communicate you are under assessment to your audiences. We also offer regular toolkits with advice how to communicate your sustainability initiatives throughout the year.
We have just certified –what kind of promotion we will be offered on your website or social media?
We will be delighted to support your certification with an announcement on social media, as well as announcement to our email database. We are also happy to supply a quote from our Co-founder Diana Verde Nieto or Co-CEO Amy Nelson-Bennett for your press and communications on request. We can also work with you to create editorial features around launch and through the following year. Please note these are at our editorial discretion and will focus on sustainability stories content rather than product or sales promotions. Post-certification launch, we are always happy to consider featuring your business with posts or features on sustainability achievements.
What other marketing support can you offer?
In addition to your using the Butterfly Mark, we offer guidance on the sustainability areas your communications should focus on, and the different way you might deliver those messages to you audience. We can also offer guidance and best practice on marketing your certification and Butterfly Mark to a range of stakeholders, for instance via your website, emails, social media, visual merchandise and point of sale, annual reporting. You should also use your Connected Butterfly Mark – a digital trust-building tool and brand passport which enables you to communicate your sustainability performance and commitments transparently to your stakeholders.
How do I feature in your reports or webinars?
In most cases we will reach out when we are looking for best practice examples relevant to your luxury vertical that may be relevant to a report or webinar them. But please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if there you would like to be involved in future opportunities, or to highlight any achievements you feel could be shared with the community. Our monthly editorial features include interviews and sustainability spotlights, and we often publish community-based features on themes or topics. Please speak to your account manager if you are interested in being featured in our editorial.
