THE PROGRAMME
Sustainability is more than just a moral imperative – it’s a competitive advantage. Innovation in sustainability practice is seen most frequently within start-ups and micro businesses, but these organisations are stretched for resources – of funds, time or people. Positive Luxury created the Butterfly Accelerator Programme to partner with these businesses and guide them towards Butterfly Mark certification, supporting them to scale sustainably.
We select up to two talented companies for admission each month, providing financial relief and tailored support during the initial assessment. Through these partnerships we aim to contribute to reshaping the luxury industry into something that’s kinder to people and nature.
Since its inception in March 2022 we have welcomed many luxury brands into the programme, including: ENSEMBL, Ignae, The Other House, Upper District, Seabody, Matilde Jewellery, The Folclore Company, St. Rose, Inversa Leathers, Carl Suchy & Söhne and Kaeā Skincare. More recently we were joined by Gezeiten, Meadow, Modern Synthesis and Origen Holistic Spirits.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Companies wanting to play a leading role driving innovation in sustainability for the luxury industry, through the development of ground-breaking materials, products, manufacturing processes or services and/or pioneering sustainable business and operating models
- Start-ups/micro brands, retailers, or suppliers operating Fashion & Accessories, Beauty & Fragrance, Jewellery & Watches, Living, Premium Drinks, Travel & Leisure)
- Organisations with annual turnover under £1million ($1.3million / €1.2million)
- Companies should be able to articulate a business plan that demonstrates a clear, healthy focus on both purpose and profit, supplying evidence – both quantitative and qualitative – that demonstes tangible efforts across the four pillars of our ESG+ (environmental, social, governance, innovation) assessment framework

FEES
- The Butterfly Accelerator Programme, leading to Butterfly Mark Certification, costs £3,000 (€3,500 / $4,000) per annum and includes our full 4-part Butterfly methodology of test, transform, transition and trust
- The most accessible price for our most comprehensive sustainability programme – with added bonus of no-fee split payment
