“Being shotlisted for the Positive Luxury Awards celebrates our commitment to preserving our ecosystem, in a regenerative way, and pushing boundaries of wine excellence through meticulous savoir-faire.”
HARTENBERG WINE ESTATE
Hartenberg Wine Estate is a family-owned wine estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa, wines focused on quality, provenance, and long-term land stewardship. The estate farms and vinifies from its own vineyards, producing super-premium and premium wines including Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and Bordeaux-style blends. Regenerative viticulture is embedded as a core operating model, integrating soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience into daily farming and long-term planning.
“We are truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Positive Luxury Awards. This recognition reflects work that began over a decade ago, when we first committed to regenerative practices here at Hartenberg. While being pioneers has been immensely rewarding, our ambition has always extended beyond our own vineyards. Our hope is that this acknowledgement inspires others to embrace regenerative agriculture, because for our planet, soils, and communities to truly thrive, more of us need to join the cause of farming that contributes positively to the world around us.”
JOURNEY’S END
Journey’s End is a family-owned wine estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa, producing premium wines shaped by the Schapenberg Hills terroir of ancient granite soils and cooling Atlantic winds. Established by the Gabb family in 1996, the estate focuses on expressive, site-driven wines from its 40 hectares of vineyards. Sustainability and social impact are central to the estate, with Fairtrade and WIETA accreditation, solar-powered production, WWF Conservation Champion status, and community initiatives through the Journey’s End Foundation supporting local food security and development.
“Sustainability is truly integral to us as a company, from the regenerative farming techniques we use to the ways in which we can support our community with the Journey’s End Foundation. We truly appreciate this recognition and are thrilled to be part of an inspiring group of premium drinks businesses striving to have a positive impact.”
VENISSA
Venissa is a winery and wine estate located on the island of Mazzorbo in the Venetian Lagoon, Italy, known for reviving the ancient native grape Dorona di Venezia. The estate is rooted in a unique lagoon terroir, where vineyard restoration and low-intervention viticulture are used to express the character of this fragile coastal ecosystem. Sustainability is central to Venissa’s ethos, with a focus on biodiversity, preservation of the lagoon landscape, and organic farming practices that support the regeneration of native vines and surrounding habitats, alongside a broader commitment to protecting the cultural and environmental heritage of the Venetian islands.
“Sustainability is not simply a good practice; it is above all a state of mind and the spread of culture. Being on this prestigious shortlist makes us extremely proud and even more convinced of our values.”
