. . .
What inspired you to take part in the Positive Luxury Awards and what does this recognition mean to your brand and team?
Positive Luxury champions a future where luxury is defined by responsibility, transparency and long-term impact – values that are at the heart of everything we do. Being named Responsible Luxury Business of the Year is an incredible honour. It recognises the care, commitment and rigour behind every decision we make – from sourcing 100% recycled metals to ensuring fair working conditions across our supply chain. For us, this isn’t a finish line, it’s a moment of momentum. A call to keep pushing boundaries and lead by example as we inspire lasting change across the jewellery industry and beyond. Applying for the Positive Luxury Awards gave us space to reflect on how far we’ve come – not just as a jewellery brand, but as part of a wider movement redefining what luxury can and should stand for. This recognition celebrates how deeply sustainability is embedded in every part of our business. It’s a proud milestone for our entire team and a springboard for even greater impact in the years ahead.
Why is it vital for luxury businesses to implement long-lasting, meaningful change that benefits both people and nature, rather than temporary or ‘quick fix’ solutions?
Quick fixes might meet short-term goals, but they rarely address the root causes of environmental and social challenges. Meaningful change takes time, dedication and unwavering commitment. At Monica Vinader, we want to radically change the jewellery sector for the better– and inspire others to do the same. This means reducing our own impact through supply chain traceability, innovation in responsible sourcing and investing in like-minded charity partners. For us, traceability has been the key to driving meaningful change and collective action. With the ability to trace our pieces from raw material through their entire lifecycle, we ensure our partners uphold strong ethical and environmental standards.

With the current economic climate putting pressure on many businesses, how have you upheld your dedication to positive change and resilience as core pillars of your strategy?
Luxury should never come at the expense of people or the planet. Even in challenging times, our commitment to embedding sustainability at the heart of our business remains unwavering. A comprehensive sustainability roadmap – with clear ambitions, measurable targets and key performance indicators – guides every decision, from responsible sourcing and product design to day-to-day operations. Meaningful progress is made not only within our teams but also through close collaboration with suppliers, customers and trusted partners like Positive Luxury. It’s this collective effort that ensures our impact is both lasting and resilient.
How has your sustainability journey created value for both your internal teams and external stakeholders, from employees to consumers and investors?
At Monica Vinader, our sustainability journey has created lasting value – both internally and externally. For our teams, it fosters a strong sense of purpose and collaboration. Embedding sustainability across the business has boosted morale and attracted talent who share our values. For our customers, it builds trust and loyalty. They seek beautiful, responsibly made products and our transparent sharing of progress reinforces that confidence. We also validate this commitment through partnerships and certifications like the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark. From an investor perspective, our focus on sustainability reflects long-term thinking, effective risk management, operational resilience and differentiation in a competitive market. Sustainability isn’t just good ethics – it’s smart business that strengthens every relationship we have.
What role has Positive Luxury played in helping your brand navigate and shape the future of sustainable luxury and why is collaboration with organisations like this essential moving forward?
