The Positive Luxury Awards celebrate innovation, real change and higher standards across the supply chain – the brands, retailers or suppliers at the forefront of innovation taking serious, positive action. Judged by an independent panel that represents a cross-section of experts including academics, thought-leaders and industry executives, the Awards are an opportunity for organisations to be celebrated for showing what is possible, recognised for their innovation and rewarded for sustainability leadership in the luxury industry. Alenja Prifti is a sustainability expert with over 10 years of experience at global brands like Estée Lauder and McDonald’s. Her work spans climate action, circular economy, ESG, and philanthropic partnerships. She recently led Sustainability at Jo Malone London, launching a UNICEF partnership, and developed McDonald’s climate strategy for its Net Zero goals. Alenja holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a first-class BSc in Environmental Economics.

Katie drafts codes of practice and assists members with dispute resolution. With a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements, Katie ensures that members uphold principled practices, fostering trust and integrity within the jewellery sector. The association also plays a crucial role in building consumer confidence. Katie’s expertise and dedication make her a key figure in maintaining high standards and resolving conflicts effectively.

Lisa Grainger, an award-winning journalist with 35 years of experience, writes on topics from fashion to wildlife for global publications. As sustainability editor of Country + Town House and deputy editor of Times Luxx, she highlights those working to make the planet healthier. She is happiest, she says, “anywhere in the wild: where I can see stars, smell leaves and breathe”

She oversees health and sustainability content, site strategy, and MC UK’s Women in Sport campaign. Ally also hosts panels and presents franchises like Decoded and Wellness Wins, where she interviews top fitness figures and reviews wellness products. Before Marie Claire, she freelanced for Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Grazia, and others, and worked in-house at Women’s Health and Foodism.

Kesah is currently Group Head of Sustainability and Environment Social Governance (ESG) for The Watches of Switzerland Group, which comprises seven prestigious brands; Watches of Switzerland, Mappin & Webb, Goldsmiths, Mayors, Betteridge and Analog:Shift. The Group also recently acquired HODINKEE, an editorial and e-commerce site for luxury watch enthusiasts.

Helena Pribyl is a Senior Research Analyst within the Fashion Initiative at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation – working with businesses, governments and NGOs to fundamentally rethink the way products are designed, made and used to create a circular economy for fashion. Where products are used more, are made to be made again and are made from safe and recycled or renewable inputs. Before joining the Foundation, Helena has experience leading carbon assessments for SMEs, and conducting academic research into regeneratively-grown fashion and emotional durability.

Nina is a sustainable tourism leader with extensive experience in destination stewardship, community engagement, and sustainable hospitality. She oversees all criteria and on-site inspections for Beyond Green, a global portfolio of resorts, hotels and lodges that are ‘walking the walk’ of sustainability leadership across local Nature, Culture and Community. Nina also runs Beyond Green’s sister consulting division, working with top travel companies, hotels, and destinations around the world to develop strategic plans and implement best practices that deliver positive impact and drive business success. She is also currently guiding the climate action planning process for Preferred Travel Group.
Andrea Thompson
Editor in Chief | Marie Claire
Andrea has worked as a senior journalist for a range of publications and brands over her 20 year career including The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Channel 4, Glamour and Grazia. At Marie Claire, Andrea oversees content, strategy, events and campaigns across fashion, beauty and the brand’s purpose pillars. She also introduced the brand’s dedicated sustainability channel and annual sustainability awards – currently in its 4th year – which recognises brands and businesses genuinely implementing positive changes for the planet. She is a keen advocate of women’s empowerment, sustainability and diversity and is a regular speaker at events. She sits on the committee of the British Society of Magazine Editors where she acts as Vice Chair and looks after Diversity and Inclusion and regularly mentors young women from under-represented communities trying to break into the media.

She is the founder of Bacchus & Brodie Wine Consultancy and City AM’s dedicated wine columnist, with her regular “Wine Without The Snobbery” pages. Published in Condé Nast Traveller, The Independent, The Buyer, the i Paper, Cosmopolitan, Club Oenologique and the Daily Mail, Libby has presented online, on radio, podcasts and TV including teaching England Rugby Legend Joe Marler how to taste wine and recommending wines on morning TV.

Jeff is based in Bangkok, where he has led sustainability with the Six Senses brand since 2016. His responsibilities include managing operational impacts across 27 hotels while supporting sustainable development for a pipeline of projects that grows the brand to touch on six continents. Jeff draws on a decade of experience launching community-based tourism programs, where he focused on capacity building and facilitating connections between travellers, indigenous peoples, and the natural world. A strong believer in the power of experiential learning, he encourages hospitality teams to take every opportunity to engage in sustainability, to always seek ways to involve guests, welcome them to join in rebuilding a better future, and foster the authenticity and optimism that our world so desperately seeks.

Lisa has an attuned global perspective on brands, brought to the table in her current role as CEO of a rich portfolio of interiors brands, including Sanderson, Morris & Co., Zoffany, Harlequin, Clarke & Clarke and Scion. This Group is united in its single purpose to ‘bring the beautiful into people’s homes and lives’ through its Live Beautiful ethos, a sustainable pledge committed to preserving heritage and craftsmanship for future generations to enjoy.
