Emma Young

An independent communications consultant and writer, Emma is passionate about the power of communication and story to inspire and create positive, authentic change.

Emma set up her business in 2013 in order to provide the sort of specialist support and expertise that she valued so highly while she was in-house. She works with a wide range of organisations, both directly and through her associate role at organisational development consultancy Talik & Co, whose mission is to develop organisations that enable people, nature and society to flourish.

 With a background in marketing and PR, Emma has more than 20 years’ experience in the profession, nine of which at BT Group where she created and oversaw the delivery of the multinational’s sustainability communication strategy.

Emma is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and the RSA. She is also an Accredited Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). When she’s not working, she spends her time writing fiction, walking (or blogging) about her dogs and gardening.
