Born in Paris Noor Fares was fascinated with fairy tales, myths, legends and the magic in everything around her, which led her to develop a connection with sacred geometry, as well as the healing and protective properties of stones, seen throughout her jewellery collections.
The seed was planted in Lebanon, where jewellery is interwoven into the everyday fabric of life. A place where gemstones carry meaning and the protective eye that sits atop even the most delicate jewel. Heirlooms that are passed from one generation to the next; all of these elements were witnessed and absorbed by the ever curious and impressionable young Noor.
Noor Fares, creative director of the eponymous brand has always been nomadic at heart and drawn to cultures where jewels and gemstones hold particular spiritual significance. So, armed with a taste for adventure, and an unquenchable thirst for learning and discovering everything about the unknown, she is on a mission to travel to every corner of the Earth, immersing erself into a world of unexpected BEAUTY.
When studying History of Art from Tufts University in Massachusetts, she discovered the symbolism of visual elements, the power of objectswithin subtle codes and unspoken narratives. Courses at the GIA followed, enriching her knowledge of precious stones. In 2009 the brand NOOR FARES was established in London.

In 2012 Noor undertook a Master in Fine Jewellery design at Central St Martins School of Art and Design where she delved deeper into the world of ancient civilisations, explored craftsmanship, design process and valued the power of narrative within fine jewellery.
Since its launch, the brand has been coveted the world over by renowned stockists including Net-a-Porter, Dover Street Market, and Saks Fifth Avenue, to name but a few. Its creations have been seen on the likes of Kate Winslet, Sienna Miller, Jennifer Lawrence, Alicia Vikander and Sonar Kappor. Until today the creative director supports the Central St Martins Masters Degree show each year which showcases emerging talent.
