KBH JEWELS

KBH Jewels is an NYC-based sustainable fine jewellery collection made from 100% reclaimed and recycled solid gold, cultivated luxury diamonds and sustainably cultured South Sea pearls.

SUSTAINABILITY PURPOSE

KBH Jewels is a niche luxury jewellery brand founded by Kimberly Berry Haisch and made using only socially conscious laboratory-grown diamonds and 100% reclaimed and recycled gold. KBH Jewels wants to help set a new luxury tradition for our generation and the standard for generations to come, through the creation of beautiful modern heirlooms that will last forever. This is a brand that believes love and tradition not only applies to the end product, but also how that product has been made. The heart of its line offers elevated essentials and modern classics; the upscale uniform for the ethical and more sustainable individual. Each cultivated diamond and all gold used in their fine craftsmanship are 100% certified conflict-free, while the designs are paired with reclaimed and recycled precious materials. Everything that KBH produces, supplies and ships – from jewellery to packaging – is responsibly sourced. KBH Jewels is a member of the Ethical Metalsmiths organisation which leads brands on how to sustainably work with gold and other precious metals.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

At KBH, our belief is that modern luxury should only be sustainable luxury. Jewellery should be beautiful, aspirational, covetable, and life long, but it should also be sustainable, thoughtful, and innovative. As we look to the future, we must remember that it has always been about so much more than simply selling jewellery. Our focus is on leaving a legacy of timeless glamour while bringing responsibility and painstaking attention to sourcing and how we produce every single piece. Because it’s all about doing something better for the world that my children are going to live in and eventually share with their own families. That is tradition; that is part of our legacy. Investment-worthy pieces should be both luxe in material and sustainably made. A consumer shouldn’t have to compromise on either.

BUTTERFLY MARK TESTIMONIAL

Taking the time and putting in the work for the ESG+ certification process ensures our audience that we are committed to living up to the goals and standards that we set out to accomplish. For us, there are no shortcuts. It’s about doing what’s right, not what’s easy. Our vision is to make a long term impact with tangible results. We are consistently challenged with digging deeper, asking questions and researching ways to do things differently. This requires creative thinking and a lot of research, but for us, it is the only way, and it makes the endgame much more rewarding. We are setting a new luxury tradition for our generation and the standard for generations to come.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

ENVIRONMENT

Gold is one of the Earth’s natural renewable resources that can be recycled without quality degradation, and as such, KBH guarantee that its gold is never plated, filled or newly mined and always 100% recycled and reclaimed. Metal mining is one of the biggest polluters in the USA, contributing to arsenic, mercury, and lead pollution, so to avoid these harmful effects, KBH is adhering to The New Gold Standard. To further ethical business practices, the brand also partner with Mercury Free Mining Challenge and Earthworks.

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

ENVIRONMENT

KBH source only lab grown diamonds to eliminate the need to mine natural materials and to provide a guarantee that the gems are conflict-free and to avoid the vast human and environmental destruction. KBH Diamonds are cultivated in highly controlled lab creating diamonds that are identical chemically, physically and optically to mined diamonds – the only difference is the point of origin. Additionally, the pearls KBH sources are Organic South Sea Pearls: AA-graded, a supplier that uses no bleach, dye, toxins, plastics and only harvested in season using and re-using every part of the mollusks while supporting local communities.

SUSTAINABILITY PURPOSE

GOVERNANCE

KBH’s mantra is Planet-first Jewellery, founded on the belief that jewellery should look good on you, but also be good for the world. It believes investment worthy pieces should be both luxe in material and sustainably made – and that a consumer shouldn’t have to compromise on either. Everything that KBH produces, supplies and ships – from jewellery to packaging – is sourced from ethical, sustainable and reclaimed methods. For KBH, love and tradition apply not only to their jewellery, but also the way it is made and how that affects the world.

PACKAGING EFFICIENCY

ENVIRONMENT

KBH’s vision is to make a long-term impact with its choice of packaging partners and materials. Its packaging is recyclable and provides instructions on how to recycle correctly, as well as being designed to have fewer overall impacts than common alternatives, being made from post-consumer waste. KBH upcycles its plastic waste into packaging and does not source any virgin plastic. The packaging is made of 100% recyclable materials, and it only purchases organic fabrics for the jewellery pouches.
