We kicked off our new webinar series, The Power Series, in March. Yesterday, our episode, called The Power of New Nature, went live with insight from three amazing thought leaders. In this episode, our panel including Board Member & Vicepresident of Sha wellness Clinic, Alejandro Bataller; CEO of McQueens Flowers, Richard Eagleton and, Founder of Inlight Beauty, Dr Mariano Spiezia, will discuss how we can harness the gifts that nature bestows upon us to be the best versions of ourselves and how we can protect biodiversity.
The discussion was lead by questions from Positive Luxury CEO and Co-founder, Diana Verde Nieto. Diana began by asking Richard Eagleton how do you deliver this new way of thinking?
“We’ve always been at that intersection of people-planet-profit.We continue to work across our CSR plan – we are moving much more towards across triple bottom plan.”
Diana then followed up asking designer Alejandro Bataller how they deliver towards wellness and to tell us more about Sha Wellness Clinic.
“We’ve started with this dream. 15 years old, we have now become well known for integrated medicine” he said “We want people to take better care of themselves and their planet. Let the food be your medicine and your medicine be your food.”
The conversation then moved to Dr Mariano Spiezia where they were asked about Inlight Beauty and the drive behind it.
“I came up with the idea when I stated making ointments for my clients using local herbs, and when I had a look at cosmetics I realised they were a lot of chemicals. So I decided to make the purest possible skincare products.” He said. “We decided to use only organic ingredients, to preserve nature and take the best out of it.”
Positive Luxury founder then asked about Sha Wellness clicic was planning their reopening and how the hospitality industry will react.
“I think challenging times are always an opportunity to grow.” “This is a lesson of immunity from companies, the world… It’s a time tor reinvent yourself, in our case we’ve developed an e-health platform.”
Richard from McQueens Flowers had a similar answer “The greatest human challenge coming out of pandemic will be mental health and I think flowers will reach a new importance.” he said
Loredana added “I think the beauty industry has changed already – people have been shopping online, and the good thing is that they have understood more about sustainabilty, about real beauty. They are buying less but more quality”.
Next, Diana asked the panelist where they find the strength and how their business adapts post COVID and how they will keep relevant. “For us it’s going to be a focus on people and talent.- People skills talent” McQueens. “All will start with the human side” Alejandro added.
