Willow Organic was founded in 2008 with the aim to bring beautifully packaged, effective organic beauty products to the market. Willow's cosmetic chemists and scientists create ethical and effective organic products for women and men. Willow is a pioneering force in the organic beauty market. Their products are Soil Association certified.

Sue Stowell had been an interior designer for 20 years and was working on the design of a new hotel spa when she was asked to help source organic luxury bath and beauty products for their treatments.  Having discovered that there was nothing available which was  truly organic and of a luxury quality and having been a big advocate of organic for years, Sue had been looking for a career change and  saw that there was a gap in the market and knew this would be a business she could be really passionate about.

Sue set about finding a cosmetic chemist specialising in organic cosmetics, as they are far more difficult to formulate than ordinary cosmetics.  After weeks of research, she eventually found someone in Sussex.
Following extensive sampling, testing and formulating and mixing organic fragrances, and a complicated bureaucratic process complying with stringent EEC regulations, everything was eventually approved by the Soil Association to be certified organic. The original signature Jasmine & Geranium fragrance is still the most popular.

In autumn 2006 Willow Beauty Products was launched with two ranges, including a body lotion, bath and shower gel, hand cream, bath oil and soap.
