Weleda is a supplier of anthroposophic and homoeopathic medicines, natural, cruelty free bodycare products, remedy finder and skin care advice. It began with a hospital and a pharmaceutical laboratory – founded by a Dutch doctor, an Austrian philosopher and a chemist and pharmacist from Munich. It has developed into a worldwide enterprise for health.

Weleda manufactures over 2500 pharmaceutical products, 120 natural cosmetics and 10 dietary products worldwide. Approximately 2’000 people work full time for Weleda and make sure that the highest standards of quality and the respectful use of resources both go into Weleda’s products. Of Weleda’s plant-based raw materials 62% are cultivated in controlled organic and biodynamic environments, or are obtained from controlled wild sources. All Weleda’s products are made from pure natural substances; artificial preservatives are never used.

Weleda acts as sustainable as possible on all levels, from the procurement of raw materials to the subsequent treatment as cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, packaging and distribution. Weleda grows medicinal plants and runs its own tincture production facility including further processing of these raw products by means of destilling, extracting or potentiating. All products are sold in a variety of dosage forms such as tablets, ointments, pillules, creams, lotions or syrups.
