Founder of The Gathering Goddess, Wilma Mae is a native American who has been based in the UK since 1990. Her early career was in the world of PR - she was the original PR manager for the London branch of Planet Hollywood, having previously worked in film PR including Reservoir Dogs, Wayne’s World and with comedy greats Sandra Bernhard and Bill Hicks.

She later set up her own PR firm under the umbrella of the legendary TV production company Planet 24 as well as a stint at the top ten consumer agency Jackie Cooper PR where she worked with brands such as Sony Films, Debenhams, Fanta, Flutter.com (now Betfair). She also specialised in consumer technology PR at Bite Communications working with clients such as Samsung, The Carphone Warehouse, Tiger Beer, London Underground, Sonos and BT.  Since 2002,  Wilma’s focus has been vintage fashion, her first love. She launched The Gathering Goddess boutique in Notting Hill in April 2012.

Wilma loves contemporary dance and currently sits on the Development Committee for Dance Umbrella and was a former Development Committee member and donor of Sadler’s Wells and DanceEast.
