Positive Luxury

    Valentino

Valentino was established in 1959 by fashion designer and icon, Valentino Garavani. The Italian clothing company has since expanded and now operates in more than 70 different countries with over 1250 points of sale, 66 of which are directly managed. An internationally renowned fashion brand, Valentino offers a wide range of luxury products from haute couture to ready-to-wear to an extensive accessories collection.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, both former students of the European Institute of Design in Rome, have been the Creative Directors of Valentino since October 2008. Before their appointment as Creative Directors, Chiuri and Piccioli worked in close contact with Garavani for over a decade, contributing to the international success of Valentino’s line of accessories.

Since debuting with their first haute couture collection in Paris in January 2009, Chiuri and Piccioli have expressed a new vision for the Valentino woman: an unusual version of femininity and a concept of extreme elegance balanced by a subtle grace.
Now owned by the Marzotto Group, the Valentino brand houses several collections: Valentino Haute Couture, Valentino Prèt-à-Porter, Valentino Garavani, Valentino Roma and REDValentino.

Valentino also actively supports charitable causes. New T-shirt Couture was designed to benefit The Stiller Foundation, a humanitarian organisation founded by American actor and philanthropist Ben Stiller, dedicated to promoting the education and well being of children. Available since September 2011, 50% of the sales proceeds go towards The Stiller Foundation’s programmes to improve children’s welfare around the world.

In June 2012, Valentino proudly participated in Convivio, an annual event held in Milan to support the fight against AIDS. The Maison of Valentino contributed to the Convivio event by creating a limited edition pop-up Valentino store. Proceeds from sales went directly to various projects working on AIDS prevention and research.
