Tamasyn believes in high quality, timeless design using the most eco-friendly methods available. The company has invested a lot of time finding suppliers who provide eco friendly products of the highest quality.
It is the company's belief that style does not have to suffer in order to be environmentally friendly. Designers should all be working with eco-friendly methods without compromising style or quality.
All of their materials are handprinted in their London-based studio using organic dyestuffs and water-based inks. Production runs are small, minimising waste and surplus goods.
Notebooks ranges are made in Britain, and use papers from a one hundred year old British paper mill, and are bound by small bookbinders from the South of England.
Tamasyn's recycled range uses vintage scarves sourced from a textile recycling unit in Nottingham and are all individually printed by Tamasyn.
Tamasyn also supports an Indian welfare project in Kerala. Managed by the women of Munar who educate and rehabilitate disabled young adults and their families at a vocational training centre. They are taught a trade, given housing, health care and, most importantly, the ability to become self-sufficient.
