Sophia Rogge’s love of the beach and the desire to be in charge of her own destiny was the reason she started her eponymous eco-beachwear label.

One of the main causes behind Sophia Rogge is coral conservation. Inspired over the years by colour and nature as an artist and designer, Sophia first came across the countless varieties of coral at art school. This was when she realised she’d found a true inspiration.

New species of coral are discovered yearly, but at the same time, many are becoming extinct unnecessarily. Sophia’s aim in her beachwear designs is to bring the delicate allure of coral to the forefront of people's minds to inspire them to join her in supporting one of nature's most beautiful and fragile living organisms.

10% of gross profits from Sophia’s eco beachwear goes to Corals for Conservation, an organisation she first came across in San Francisco when working on an underwater art exhibition. The organisation works with fishing communities and the tourism industry to conserve the coral reefs - healthier corals lead to more fish and more prosperous communities.
