An alumnus of prestigious design schools Central Saint Martins and Cordwainers, Nicholas Kirkwood’s eponymous collection launched in spring 2005.

His first collection, that blurred the lines between femininity and modernity by featuring architecturally inspired pieces. It won Nicholas the attention of Grace Jones and Cecilia Dean of art-house publication Visionaire as well as a design stint at Chloé. All his creations feature extremely high craftsmanship. Nicholas sources all his materials himself from Italy.

His 2008 spring/summer collection won him the prestigious AltaRoma Vogue Italia award for accessories design, and the commendation of American Vogue’s Editor-at-Large André Leon-Talley.

Previously he has collaborated with Swarovski, Chambord and Victoria’s Secret. Nicholas Kirkwood has been featured in Vogue and Marie Claire and his shoes are favoured by the likes of Beyonce and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Nicholas Kirkwood won the Accessory Designer Award at the British Fashion Awards in 2010 and 2012. He was also shortlisted for the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund 2012.
