Salix Alba

Salix Alba is a luxury natural anti-aging day cream, Salix Alba for women and Salix Alba Maximus for men. This anti-ageing skincare cream offers the unique benefit of natural salicin (an extract of willow tree) to enhance skin softness and reduce the appearance of ageing.

The Salix Alba creams use pure water from the English Lake District’s Cartmel Valley Spring which draws water from a deep subterranean aquifer renowned for its curative powers since the 12th century. The only water source in the world known to contain naturally occurring salicin, the spring contains water that has filtered down through the Cartmel Fells of the Lake District. These Fells were once covered by prehistoric White Willow forests which are the source of the salicin.

Studies have confirmed salicin’s ability to support the skin repair mechanisms that deteriorate as we get older. These mechanisms are responsible for regulating moisture and pore size and also preventing dark spots and rough skin. Salix Alba contains Blackberry Leaf extract to help prevent wrinkle formation, Green tea for its powerful antioxidant and moisturising properties and rosehip oil to repair skin damage, soothe inflammation and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Salicin is a natural beta hydroxy-acid which exfoliates the skin by breaking down the outer layer of dead skin cells allowing healthy cells to rise to the surface and give the complexion a healthy youthful glow. Salix Alba comprises a carefully balanced combination of minerals, including skin enhancing calcium and magnesium combined with natural anti-oxidants to fully replenish and revitalise skin.

Salix Alba is handmade in the English Lake District and contains no parabens and is unperfumed. Suitable for all skin types including vegetarians and vegans, neither the cream nor any of its contents are tested on animals and it contains no genetically modified ingredients.  All creams are fully compliant with strict EU regulations which will be brought into force in July 2013.
