The vegetable tanned leather used by Royal Blush is from finest Italian calf leather, tanned with natural bark and roots. An artisan tradition, vegetable tanning has been handed down for generations - over 200 years in fact - and now uses both antique recipes and state-of-the-art technology.

Along with leather, Royal Blush uses bio salmon skin, a by-product of the food industry. This is also tanned at the highest level of ecological quality in Germany. The salmon skin comes from certified bio salmon farms in Ireland.

Their manufacturing policies support local production in Germany and Switzerland, all materials are sourced within Europe, and the company ensures short shipping distances to minimise their CO2 output. Within the company FSC-controlled paper is used, along with climate neutral printing.
