Run by Polly Waites (nickname Polliander - hence the company name), Polliander finds discarded pieces of furniture to up-cycle and re-style. Polly is fully trained in furniture restoration but upholstery is her great love.

Using a mixture of traditional and modern techniques to lovingly restore vintage furniture, Polliander turns carefully selected pieces into high quality and distinctive furniture for practical use.

The company also accepts commissions, helping people revamp their old furniture and find its lost youth as the centre piece of any room.

Everything is reworked to the highest standard and the utmost care goes into every piece that comes into Polliander’s workshop in Bermondsey.

Her most recent works consist of turning old metal school lockers into wardrobes and cupboards with designs graffitied on them. These were displayed at Designersblock 2012.
