Swiss-born designer Rene Haas is one of the foremost contemporary furniture designers and manufacturers in South Africa. Established by Rene in 1968, Muralto ZA is focused on delivering a first class customer experience before, during and after every sale.

Muralto UK, with its showroom in central London, is able to offer private clients, interior designers and architects a full range of Muralto design solutions. In addition to the provision of an extensive range of products and a fully bespoke design service, Muralto also provides a selection of high quality accessories including art, lighting, mirrors and rugs - all of which are sourced from a number of local and international partners.

Muralto has a strong code of ethics, dictating they provide benefits to customers, employees, community and suppliers. They donate a percentage of their profits annually to worthwhile South African charities and causes. Their suppliers acknowledge that their activities have an effect on the environment. Muralto strives for transparency and to understand and address the environmental impact of their activities.

Muralto timber is sourced from MTO Forestry ZA who are committed to sustainable forestry for the health of the environment and the economy. Muralto ZA currently employs over forty staff consisting of highly skilled artisans and a percentage of semi-skilled workers. These employees are able to produce bespoke, high quality, long lasting furniture using a wide selection of materials.

Muralto UK is a member of the National Design Academy and an (Associate) Industry Partner member of the British Institute of Interior Design. Within this partnership the company encourages young designers, helping to cultivate their talents and stimulate the introduction of new and innovative designs.
