Positive Luxury

Minna

Despite having no formal training in fashion, Finnish designer Minna Hepburn launched her bridal label, Minna, in 2008 while living in the middle of the beautiful Dorset countryside. Inspired by her love for vintage clothing, she started creating tops that soon found their way into high end boutiques.

It started as a hobby, but Minna’s bridal wear has since grown into a flourishing business. Her label is now stocked around the world and British Fashion Council awarded mentoring for her autumn/winter 2010 collection.

Environmental issues are important to Minna and her label is firmly in the eco-luxe category of fashion. Each piece is hand embellished and made from sustainable, organic, recycled and locally produced textiles. Her label is redefining what ethical fashion should be. Environmentally friendly production techniques including local manufacturing and zero waste pattern-cutting techniques are used for every garment.

Minna also produces a range of children’s clothing Inspired by her daughter Kristiina’s love for pretty and playful dresses. Minna launched her childrenswear label in 2009 made entirely from leftover and end of roll textiles.

Minna has been featured in Brides, Elle, Grazia, Bazaar, You & Your Wedding and Vogue. Minna also won the Elle Style Awards 2011 in Finland.
