Positive Luxury

Lucas Hugh

London-based Lucas Hugh is a women’s clothing line mixing sportswear with cutting-edge design. Launched in 2010 and designed by New Zealand born creative director, Anje Mules, the garments are designed to heighten power and ease of movement.

Concealed pockets, headphone eyelets, firm but luxuriously soft fabrics, fused seams and ventilation panels, together with the highest quality fabrication, combines its signature styling with the height of functionality. Produced in Europe at one of the most technologically advanced sportswear factories in the world, the majority of Lucas Hugh pieces feature the factory's groundbreaking glued-seam technology and high performance fabric. This technology supported Michael Phelps whilst breaking world records at the Beijing World Records.

The brand’s latest New York City collection features a 3D perspective of the city’s night skyline by aerial photographer Jason Hawkes. With surfwear as an inspiration, Anje uses lightweight neoprene-look fabrics and sleek silhouettes to produce the maximum in performance and comfort.

Lucas Hugh considers not only the aesthetics and performance enhancing qualities during the process of sourcing, manufacturing and retailing their garments. In keeping with their own environmental and social policies, all Lucas Hugh’s suppliers comply with international labour standards and are committed to manufacturing their garments in environmentally responsible and ethical manners.

Lucas Hugh’s signature leggings use textiles manufactured by using energy exclusively from renewable resources. Fabrics are produced at a state of the art factory designed to minimise waste at every stage during the production cycle and which complies with all environmental regulations. For every metre of fabric that goes into a Lucas Hugh garment, one metre of rainforest is protected through their supplier's work with the World Land Trust. The brand also has an allegiance with Right to Play, a global organisation that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity.

With a loyal following amongst celebrities and their fitness trainers, they include Sarah-Jessica Parker, Elle MacPherson, Sienna Miller and Cheryl Cole. Lucas Hugh has most recently expanded into Harrods and featured in Vogue and Elle.
