Baruzzo

Raffaella Baruzzo founded Baruzzo Fine Italian chocolates with the aim to bring exclusive Italian chocolaterie to the UK. Using only the purest high quality ingredients, the company delivers authentic Italian taste in exquisite packaging. Committed to delivering handmade Italian precision and a bespoke service to every individual customer, the company ethos echoes the couture dressmaking tradition – fatto a mano.

The company has most recently worked with Mucci Confetteria to produce a selected range of mini bites, now available at Selfridges, that uses the best ingredients from Italy; hazelnuts from Piemonte, almonds from Avola and Torritto, and Limoncello from the Amalfi coast.

Limoncello is also the central ingredient in their latest creation, Lemon-Cello Drops, featuring a warm liquid core of pure Limoncello liquor coated in a chocolate sugar crust.

Baruzzo attended 2011’s Real Food Festival, showing their support of food produced through ethical and sustainable methods. Their simple idea is to reconnect people back to where their food comes from and to promote the idea of buying directly from the people who actually produce their food.

In 2011 Baruzzo won the silver award at the Academy of Chocolate, and in 2012 sponsored the Tony McGee ‘Swans and I Dream’ party, which raised more that £1600 for The Winnicott Foundation. In the past they have also supported the Jamie Oliver Foundation and the English National Ballet and are currently a bestseller on Love Your Larder.
