Annie Greenabelle
Annie Greenabelle is an ethical womens clothing brand, crafting their garments predominantly from organic and airtrade certified cotton. They combine this with reclaimed and end-of-roll fabrics which add variety and mean many items are unique.
Annie Greenabelle’s ethical code means that they are against anyone or anything being treated badly in the pursuit of a 'bargain' piece of clothing. This is why all their factories comply with the Ethical Trading Initiative base code. Through the ethics and example of their company, Annie Greenabelle aims to prove that ethical clothing can be beautiful, on-trend and affordable.
All Annie Greenabelle garments are designed in-house and their organic, fairtrade cotton is bought from a company that employs a selected group of local farmers through 12 rural centres across India to cultivate their organic fibres. A team of agronomists is based at each service centre who ensure growing is done to international organic standards.
The cotton is then taken to their spinners by road to be spun into yarn and from there to the weavers to be woven. Finally the fabric is dyed, finished and transported by boat to Europe to be made into garments in our factory. Each of these individual processes is Fairtrade Labelling Organisation registered.
The strict nature of the Fair Trade certification process means that the Annie Greenabelle supply chain is completely transparent.
Annie Greenabelle is now sold in Topshop both online and instore, another step in their mission - to clothe the world, one ethical outfit at a time.
