In 2016, they introduced electric buses to allow skiers to get to the slopes in an easy and sustainable way. Through investment and positive actions, the resort is also on the way of becoming the first fine dust-free community in the European Alps.
Residence L’Amara, France
If you are looking for a sustainable ski holiday in France, consider Residence L’Amaria, located in Avoriaz. The Residence was awarded the Clef Verte certification to recognise its environmentally-friendly holiday accommodations. The luxury hotel has many different apartments all demonstrating positive actions with environmental policy, customer awareness, water, waste, and energy management.
Most of us have heard about Aspen and its amazing slopes and resorts, but the popular destination is also known as leading the climate change fight in North America. They are working to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by this year, collaborating with Protect Our Winters to reach this goal. In 2016, the ski resort won the Golden Eagle Award for its actions on climate change.
Morzine and Les Carroz, France
